Debbie Brown
A strategic communications and political consultant, Debbie Brown directs her expertise to political problem‐solving, coalition building and business strategy. Debbie has directed the strategy development, messaging, and marketing for businesses, nonprofit organizations, advocacy efforts and candidate campaigns of all sizes.
Debbie is a consultant for Coloradans for Responsible Energy Development, directing outreach and coalition build‐ ing within multiple stakeholder communities. Debbie brings her passion for abundant, responsible and affordable energy development to Colorado at a time when energy innovations, like fracking, are under attack.
Debbie served as the founder/Executive Director of the Colorado Women’s Alliance, a nonprofit organization devel‐ oping strategies, messaging and infrastructure focusing on issues that matter most to women. Colorado Women’s Alliance launched a “Grow Your Influence” training series to help equip women with skills in media, fundraising and public policy so they can increase their influence on public policy issues and election skills.
Debbie has been featured as a political strategist on Special Report with Bret Baier on Fox News, BBC News World Have Your Say, SkyNews, The Wall Street Journal, Washington Times, Washington Post, New York Times, Colorado Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), as well as regional and local media.
During the 2010 election cycle, Debbie was the Campaign Manager for the successful reelection of Congressman Mike Coffman. Debbie has directed political and messaging strategies for dozens of campaigns of every size.
Prior to her work in the political and advocacy arena, Debbie was the founding partner in the boutique marketing firm, Firsthand Marketing, that provided strategic business support for banking, mortgage and credit union clients.
Debbie is an advocate of school choice and served as past Chairman of the Board for Cherry Creek Academy, an award‐ winning K‐8 public charter school. She has been a presenter and debate moderator for the Colorado League of Charter Schools and the Department of Education’s Schools of Choice Unit.
Debbie earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration/Marketing from Northern Arizona University. Debbie is a graduate of the Leadership Program of the Rockies, RNC Campaign Management College and the Leadership Institute Campaign Manager School.
Debbie serves on the Board of Directors for the National Women’s Coalition for Job Creators Network and is an inaugural member of the American Enterprise Institute National Leadership Board. Debbie serves on Board of Directors for the Colorado Women’s Chamber of Commerce and Colorado Women’s Hall of Fame. She is on the Advisory Board member for Colorado Student Leaders Institute and Trenegy. Debbie taught as an Affiliate Faculty at Colorado Christian University’s School of Business and Leadership. Debbie has been recognized as a “Who’s Who in Energy” and finalist for “Outstanding Women in Business” by the Denver Business Journal.
